"When d york approached me about sampling some Nutcracker toy soldier music box like recordings he had made, I was immediately inspired to do something with them. The no longer available piece called "Silent Night, Shepherds Quake" by archive was the impetus for me to explore just how to mangle these recordings.

I ran them through some reaktor and molecular effects, sent them back to David who then re-imagined them through Bitwig and other modular synthesis tools.

Upon hearing the new versions, I re-imagined one of them a second time to which he applied even more effects and we both agreed that this re-re-re-imagined track would be the perfect way to end the album you're about to hear."
