about

The 10th edition of MFLAS follows the same pattern as the 9th but in the opposite order – light and then dark. Again, both long-ish form tracks were created with generative modular patches. And of course, I continue to shamelessly steal track titles from J.G. Ballard short stories. I’ll run out of them one day, but they always seem to fit quite well.

The first track ‘The Day of Forever Part One’ is austere and somber but not particularly dark. To me, this track has some 70s era Eno tinges to it which were unintentional but are kind of nice.

The second track ‘The Day of Forever Part Two’ is the darker and more minimal version of the two. This track could almost have been born from a radioactive marshland. The field recording is slightly treated but those frogs still sound otherworldly to me.

As always, thanks for listening and your support.
